About Us

Bnotconformed was birthed out of a desire to remind myself that I was created to stand out. In 2012, I had a knack for coming up with these “sayings” and then yelling out, that should be a shirt. So, with the assistance of my then boyfriend, now husband, we came up with bnotconformed.

The name is derived from Romans 12:2. Be not conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. For years I struggled with trying to fit in and be like others. I dealt with low self esteem and at times thought about committing suicide. As an adult, I wanted to please others and be liked.

It was through a God given journey to discovering my authentic self that I realized that I couldn’t be like anyone else because God created me to be unique. I had to learn to live for an audience of one and be content with who I am, flaws, imperfections and all.

My hope is that bnotconformed apparel serve as a remind that God created you to be your unique self. To embrace who and whose you are and that you know you were created in the image and likeness of God.

Know without a shadow of a doubt that you are a child of the Most High God and He loves you!
